Write the way you talk
Read the email out loud. If you would not say a sentence to a friend over coffee, rewrite it. Short sentences and plain words work for most audiences.
Send the first one right away
Reply within minutes of a sign-up. Say thanks, say what happens next and ask one easy question. An automation can send it for you, so it goes out at 2 a.m. as well as 2 p.m.
Space the next ones
A common rhythm is day 1, day 3 and day 7. The second email shares something useful, like a short story about a client. The third makes a clear offer and says what to do next.
Ask for a reply
End each email with a question people can answer in a line. Replies tell the email provider your messages are wanted, and they start real conversations.
Stop when they answer
Set the sequence to stop when the person books, buys or replies. Nothing feels worse than a 'just checking in' email after you already talked.
